Loopalooza LOGO 2024

Loopalooza is an annual event hosted by the City of Davis in collaboration with Bike Davis and community organizations to get people of all ages out on their bikes and cycling through the Davis Bike Loop.

The City of Davis is inviting everyone to get on their bikes for the 15th Annual Loopalooza on Sunday, May 4, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In partnership with Bike Davis, this beloved family-friendly tradition is a community bike ride event along the 12-mile bike loop.

Make this free event a special day for your family and friends by visiting local greenbelts, picnicking at the park and connecting with friends and neighbors. Participants can start anywhere on the bike loop and ride in either direction.

Liability Waiver

All participants must sign a waiver of liability, medical release and indemnification agreement.

Four Ways to Complete the Waiver:

1. Complete the new online waiver at HERE. The waiver can be completed in advance of the event. Everyone who plans to participate in Loopalooza, including activities at the stations, must have a waiver signed and confirmed by volunteers. Please SAVE the email confirmation you receive to show Loopalooza volunteers and receive a participant wristband.

2. Print and bring a paper waiver to the event to any of the stations. Use this link to access the paper Liability Waiver Loopalooza 2025 waiver.

3. At the event, request a waiver to sign at ANY station.

4. At the event, complete the digital waiver and show the email confirmation at ANY station to receive a participant wristband. There will be scannable QR codes to the waiver available at the event for ease of access.

Station 1: Community Park - Kona Ice

Enjoy one-of-a-kind shaved ice from their mobile trailer.

Station 9: Patwin Elementary - Zim Cuisine

Provides authentic African soul food through their pop up restaurant in Davis, CA. Their offerings are made from fresh organic veggies sourced from local farms accompanied by slow grilled meats cooked to perfection. Come try a hand pie and a refreshing beverage.

Station 10: Sycamore Park - Purple Tree Cafe

Come visit their signature bicycle-driven coffee cart and enjoy handcrafted baked goods, organic tea, and other beverages. Purple Tree Cafe is a non-profit organization based in Davis, California that creates community-based employment for people with disabilities. They are a long-time participant at Loopalooza.

Volunteers & Participating Groups

We need your help! Please read the information below regarding what your role will be at Loopalooza. Reach out to City of Davis' SRTS Coordinator if you would like to volunteer at this event.

Thank you for volunteering to help at this year's Loopalooza!

Volunteer Station Duties

Each station will have a plastic box with the supplies. Your role is make sure participants have a fun, safe day on the Davis Bike Loop.

Check for Wavier: For all participants, volunteers will help confirm they completed the event waiver. First determine if they completed the digital waiver in advance of the event, if yes, they should show you the email confirmation they received and were instructed to keep for the day. If they did not complete the digital waiver or can't find the email, participants can complete either a paper waiver or the digital waiver at the event. Once the waiver is completed, place a paperband on their bike or wrist (whatever they prefer) and offer a limited edition 2025 Loopalooza sticker. Everything you need is in the bin!

Other Volunteer duties: If a participant already has a paperband when they arrive at your station, no need to do anything except welcome them to the station and help remind everyone how to stay safe on the loop.

Encourage participants NOT to block the loop for other passing riders. Not everyone on the Davis Bike Loop will be participating in the event and we want to make sure they can pass by.
Answer general questions about the map or nearest available restroom, water fountain, food vendor and/or bike mechanic. There is a copy of the map in the bin.
Contact City of Davis staff if a need or issue arises and their information is in the bin.
