Online Crime/Incident Reporting System
The Online Crime Reporting system is available for citizens to submit non-emergency situations. The portal is not monitored 24/7. Please reach out to the team directly if you have an emergency by calling 911 or if your specific situation does not meet the requirements to submit online. Upon review, somebody may contact you if your situation requires further investigation. If you have any questions, please call the Davis Police Department's non-emergency phone line at 530-747-5400 and choose option "0".
Online Crime reports must meet the following requirements:
- The incident/crime occurred in the City of Davis Jurisdiction. If they occurred on UC Davis Property, Yolo Sheriff’s Office jurisdiction or CHP jurisdiction please use the following links:
- You are unable to provide suspect information or if the suspect is not named, known, or identified. If you have suspect information you must call our office.
- You are not able to provide investigative leads (such as photo or video surveillance) that can lead to an arrest.
- There is no likelihood that an arrest will be made based on the information provided.
- Your incident is one of the permissible report types.
The permissible report types are:
- Identity Theft or Fraudulent Charges
- Lost Property
- Non-Injury Traffic Collision
- Non-Injury Hit and Run Traffic Collision
- Tampering with a Vehicle
- Theft
- Theft from a vehicle
- Theft of Bicycle
- Theft of Catalytic Converter
- Retail Theft Crimes (for Retail Business Submission Only)
- Vandalism
- Miscellaneous Reports

Certain non-emergency situations must be directed to other agencies.
To report a Code Enforcement issue, such as abandoned or abatement vehicles, abandoned bicycles, or illegal camping, please use this GO Davis citizen request management system that provides a 24/7 reporting system.
To report a Child Custody Court Order violation, contact the Yolo County District Attorney’s Office of Child Abduction. To file a report visit the Yolo District Attorney's website.
To report Theft of Mail from a mailbox or receptacle, contact the United States Post Office in person where they can take a written report, or you may file a report through the United States Postal Inspector's website.
To report a Lost or Stolen United States Issued Passport, contact the United States Department of State directly visiting the state department website and submit a DS-64 Form the State Department's passport website. You must report it to your home embassy if it is not a United States-issued passport.
To report an Internet Crime, please contact Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) thru Internet Crime Center.
