Minor Projects in City Parks
The Parks Department is tracking repairs for the following park locations. Staff are working to get each equipment piece back in working order in a timely manner. We appreciate your patience while we await delivery of parts and the subsequent installation.
Check back for updates on repairs as they are completed .
- Arroyo Park
- The exercise skier equipment has a cracked piece. Parks is working with the manufacturer on a quote for replacement.
- The whale springer is out of service. Parks has the replacement parts and will schedule the installation by the end of May.
- The climbing wall has missing handholds. Parks is ordering additional pieces to replace them.
- Barbera Park Double Swing - Half of the swing is removed due to exposed metal. Parks is working with the manufacturer on a quote for its replacement.
- Central Park Playground - The spring platform is removed due to a crack in one of the pieces. Parks is working with the manufacturer on a quote for its replacement.
- Chestnut Park bathrooms - The restroom is closed due to plumbing issues. Public Works is working on repairs and will have them back in working order in a timely manner.
- Hacienda Park Swings - The swings are closed for repair. Parks is updating the ground cover under the swings and adding engineered wood fiber. Once this is complete, the swings will be available for use.
- Pioneer Park - Parks removed the broken standing spinner and is working with the manufacturer on the replacement and installation.
- Putah Creek Park Bench Swing - The bench swing is removed due to structural deficiency. Parks staff will work with the manufacturer to further assess repairs or replacement.
- Rainbow City Playground - The spinner play equipment is out of order. Parks has a new spinner in house and will have it installed by the end of May.
- Senior Center Fitness Equipment - The Stepper is out of service and Parks is working with the manufacturer on a quote for replacement.
- Walnut Park South Playground - The bridge is out of service due to missing and broken bolts and brackets. Parks has the replacement hardware in house and will have the bridge in working order by early June.
- Walnut Park North Playground – The merry-go-round has been removed and will be replaced. Parks is working with several vendors to obtain quotes for a replacement piece.
