The 2021 production of The Davis Children's Version of the Nutcracker was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In lieu of the production, the City of Davis hosted several activities to honor this classic local tradition.

During December 2021, the City of Davis provided activities “Celebrating the Spirit of Nutcracker.” Families and fans were able to participate in a variety of activities from the comfort of their homes as we celebrated what would have been the 45th annual production. Activities included:

• Nutcracker story time with Ann Smalley
• Viewing past performances on local channels
