March 26, 2026 Update

The State has approved the restroom building plan. Yolo County Health has approved the concession stand. Site improvements and preparation will begin early summer 2026 with the restroom install schedule for mid to late June 2026. Installation is being coordinated after DJUSD is released for summer break and before E. 14th Street construction.

January 30, 2026 Update

City staff are working with the Yolo Health Department and City Building Department to review the 90% site improvement plans.

November 14, 2025 Update

The State approved PRC's modular restroom plans and the plans are now with Yolo Health for review. The consultant team is preparing the site plans which are anticipated by December 5, 2025. Then the entire package will be sent to the Building Department for review.

August 28, 2025 Update

The City is working with PRC to finalize the restroom plan prior to sending it to the State and Yolo Health for review.

May 30, 2025 Update

PRC provided their design submittal package this week and the City is reviewing it for approval prior to sending it to
the State and Yolo Health for review. Site Improvement Plans are also under development.

March 27, 2025 Update

The contract is executed and staff are beginning the engineering phase for the restroom building. 

March 14, 2025 Update

The restroom purchase contract has been sent to the City Manager's office for execution.

February 7, 2025 Update

On February 4, 2025, City Council approved the restroom purchase and installation agreement with Public Restroom Company (PRC). Staff are working on the contract and coordinating with the consultant on site improvement design.

January 28, 2025 Update

Today staff met with the installation crew and crane company to confirm the feasibility of delivering the pre-fabricated restroom near the large shade structure and pool area. The restroom purchase agreement with the Public Restroom Company is slated to go to Council for approval on February 4, 2025.

December 4, 2024 Update

Surveying and reports are complete and minor adjustments are being made to the restroom plan. The purchase agreement for a pre-fabricated restroom should go to City Council in February 2025. 

November 21, 2024 Update 

The City is moving forward with the installation of a pre-fabricated restroom. The building will be ideally located, adjacent to the large shade structure and the pool area. Surveying is in progress and staff will conduct a "re-kickoff" meeting with the designer next week. 

June 10, 2024 Update

Indigo Architects, the awarded designer, and subconsultants are gathering and analyzing site data and working on preliminary design concepts.

March 18, 2024 Update

Staff selected a consultant and plan to award the design contract at the March 19, 2024 City Council meeting.

Community Park restrooms are getting a makeover! Staff are in the planning stages of the Community Park Restroom Revitalization project with design firm interviews occurring the week of February 12, 2024. Staff anticipate the project will include removal of the current structure and replacement with a prefabricated modular unit. Stay tuned for updates on this much-anticipated project.
