The Parks and Community Services Department mission is to be stewards of memories through engaging recreational programs, community connection and parks that promote relaxation and play. The department consists of two divisions: Community Services and Parks.

Parks and Community Services provides a variety of recreational opportunities for residents of all ages, including aquatics, adaptive recreation for persons with disabilities, outdoor education, specialty camps, special interest classes, teen services, senior services, youth and adult sports, paratransit, community rental facilities, athletic fields, parks, greenbelts, playgrounds and picnic areas. We are also proud to be responsible for the oversight and maintenance of 260 acres of parks and 197 acres of greenbelts. 

The Parks and Community Services department also hosts two of the City's Advisory Commissions, the Recreation and Park Commission and the Senior Citizens Commission.  For more information or upcoming meeting dates and agenda topics, please click here Commissions.
