Mace Ranch Drainage Channel
Overview
The Mace Ranch Drainage Channel is a stormwater detention channel in South Davis managed by the City’s Public Works Department. It is located south of Arroyo Avenue, and runs from John Barovetto Park almost all the way to Spafford Avenue. The channel provides important seasonal wetland habitat and grassland habitat, and recreational benefits for people (walking, biking, wildlife viewing). The channel area itself is not publicly accessible and is enclosed by a security fence. However, there is a paved path that runs the length of the channel from John Barovetto Park almost all the way to Spafford Avenue.
