The Barger Farm agricultural conservation easement protects agricultural land and a 3,500-foot corridor of riparian habitat. The easement preserves farmland as well as Dry Slough woody riparian habitat.

The property is privately owned. The conservation easement was acquired by the City of Davis and the Yolo Land Trust in 2008.

Open space benefits:

The mixed riparian forest supports woody vegetation and is part of an important wildlife corridor and roosting habitat for raptors and other birds. The property also protects farmland from being converted to urban uses.

The property is not publicly accessible.


Barger Farm is located on County Road 30 north of County Road 26. The property is adjacent to other agricultural easements and riparian habitat on the McIsaac Farm and the Eoff Farm.
