In September 2025, the Lumberyard Project applicant submitted a planning application for a revised Affordable Housing Plan (AHP) approval due to interior layout changes to the unit mix and numbers. The building exterior, square footage, height, and site design remain substantially the same with only additional windows and minor exterior adjustments. The interior changes would decrease the project from 227 units to 205 apartment units, comprised of a mix of studios, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom, and four-bedroom units. Total number of bedrooms would increase from 322 bedrooms to 444 bedrooms. The revised AHP would still provide 11 affordable units previously required for the approved 227 units but would be updated for the different unit mix.
On February 14, 2024, the Planning Commission approved The Lumberyard Mixed Use Project located at 500-512 G Street. The project consists of a 4 and 5-story mixed use building with 227 apartment units, ground floor commercial, and site improvements. Project materials are below.
