On June 6, 2018 the City Clerk's Office received a Notice of Intent to circulate a petition for an Initiative to Adopt a City of Davis Parcel Tax to Provide Revenue to Davis Joint Unified School District and the City of Davis for School and School Safety Funding. The deadline for submitting signed petitions for verification is on or before December 19, 2018 (California Elections Code Section 9208).

Initiative proponents did not file petitions by the deadline. Therefore, the initiative does not proceed.
