The City of Davis requests prequalification submissions on or before 5:00 p.m. Wednesday December 3, 2025 from qualified contractors interested in providing construction services such as (1) Grading and/or Paving, (2) Electrical (Site and/or Facility), (3) Underground Utilities, (4) Mechanical – Plumbing and/or HVAC, (5) Concrete Sidewalk, (6) Lift Stations, (7) Facility Remodels, (8) WWTP, and (9) Roofs projects for the upcoming 2026 construction season.

The City is seeking licensed contractors that wish to bid on specific public works projects to submit a questionnaire in order to bid on construction project in 2026 for the City of Davis.  There may be occasional work where the City elects not to use the prequalification process, but generally we will use this annual list.

The Contractors must be appropriately licensed and registered in the State of California for engineering and/or construction services as needed.

The Contractors must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (“DIR”) as required by law. Selected Contractors will be required to comply with the Labor Code prevailing wage and shall be required to work cooperatively City staff, any technical consultants retained by the City for the project, and the community, to facilitate timely and professional completion of the project.

Completed Prequalification Questionnaires must be submitted electronically (in PDF file format) no later than 5:00 p.m., Wednesday December 3, 2025. Prequalification Questionnaire submission documents will not be accepted after the due date and time. No supplemental data or additional project information will be accepted after due date and time unless specifically requested by the City of Davis. No hard copies will be accepted.

Contractors must agree to comply with all City of Davis RFP and Contract Conditions for the project. 

The City of Davis reserves the right to reject any or all responses to this notice.

Each Contractor may be required to show evidence of its equal employment opportunity policy. The successful firms and their subconsultants will be required to follow the nondiscrimination requirements set forth in the Bidding Documents and to pay prevailing wages at the location of the work.

**Oral, telegraphic, facsimile, or telephone of prequalification submissions will not be accepted.  Prequalification submissions received after this date and time will not be accepted. 

To prequalify, Contractors will complete and submit The City’s Prequalification Questionnaire for Annual Construction Projects.

No late questionnaire proposals will be accepted for any reason. No exceptions will be allowed.
