Davis Neighbors' Night Out Seeks Party Hosts for 20th Annual Event on October 4, 2026

Post Date:August 20, 2026 8:51 a.m.

The City of Davis, in partnership with ASUCD, Davis Media Access, UC Davis and Yolo County, is inviting community members to participate as party hosts for the 20th Annual Davis Neighbors’ Night Out on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026.

Davis Neighbors’ Night Out is a community tradition that brings neighbors together to build friendships, strengthen connections and create safer, more supportive neighborhoods. Community members, neighborhood associations, apartment complexes and homeowner associations are all encouraged to host a gathering. Held annually in October, Davis Neighbors’ Night Out also provides an opportunity to welcome new and returning UC Davis students into the community.

“Davis Neighbors’ Night Out is a wonderful way for new neighbors to meet, connect and strengthen the sense of community in local neighborhoods,” said Davis Mayor Donna Neville. “Party hosts are essential to making this event a success, helping create a warm, enjoyable setting where neighbors and their families can come together, build relationships and get to know one other.”

Party hosts who register by Friday, Sept.18, will be entered into a lottery for the opportunity to have a special guest attend their gathering. Potential guests include City Councilmembers, representatives from the Davis Police and Fire Departments, UC Davis and City of Davis mascots and others.

To find out whether a gathering is already planned in your neighborhood, visit the City of Davis Neighbors’ Night Out webpage at https://cityofdavis.org/neighbors and check the party map. If there is not yet an event in your area, consider becoming a party host.

To become a party host, visit https://tinyurl.com/bdd3j3ey and fill out the requested information. The deadline to register is Friday, Sept. 25, 2026. Those who miss the deadline, but are still interested in hosting, are encouraged to email DNNO@cityofdavis.org for assistance.
