The City of Davis General Plan Committee (GPC) will conduct a public meeting on the General Plan Update, as described below, at a meeting beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 in the Community Chambers, City Offices, 23 Russell Boulevard, Davis, California. The meeting agenda is generally available on the City’s Website five (5) days prior to the hearing date. Please contact the Community Development for the approximate time this item will be heard.

General Plan Update – General Plan Committee

Project Name:        Presentation to the newly formed General Plan Committee - Draft Preferred Land Use Map

Project Description:

Staff and the City’s General Plan Update consultant, Alta Planning and Design (formerly Raimi & Associates) are presenting an update on the process and recent community engagement, share results from the recent community engagement on land use concepts and provide an overview of initial direction for a Preferred Land Use Map for committee review and input.

The GPC is advisory to the City Council. The Committee will not take final action on any aspect of the General Plan Update. Final direction and action on the Draft Preferred Land Use Map and other components that the GPC may review will come from the City Council.

The public is invited to attend and provide comments to the GPC.

Availability of Documents:

Additional information pertaining to the General Plan Update is available for review at the Department of Community Development, Planning Division, 23 Russell Boulevard, Davis, California, 95616. General Plan Committee staff reports for the public hearing are generally available five (5) days prior to the hearing date the City’s website at: Agendas | City of Davis, CA; and are also available by contacting the project planner.

Additionally, all Community Engagement opportunities and future steps are provided on the General Plan Update website. All members of the Davis community are encouraged to subscribe to the periodic updates and to provide feedback at any time via the website.

If you challenge the action taken on this matter in court, the challenge may be limited to raising only those issues raised at the public meeting described in this notice, or in written correspondence to the Director of Community Development Department at, or prior to, the public meeting.
