The City of Davis is excited to announce that Trekkers, one of the hottest outdoor education summer camps, is continuing into the school year with Fall Trekkers!
Fall Trekkers are weekend camping trips offered for two age groups: 11 to 14 years old and 14 to 17 years old. Participants embark on overnight excursions to different state parks and learn to set up campsites, cook outdoors and practice “Leave No Trace” principles. Activities include hiking and exploring and learning about nature in new and exciting locations.
Fall Trekkers Trips: 11 to 14 years
- Calaveras State Park: Oct. 11-13, $337
- Mt. Diablo: Dec. 6-7, $223
Fall Trekkers Trips: 14 to 17 years
- Bodega Dunes: Sept. 20-21, $223
- Trinidad State Beach: Nov. 8-10, $337
Fall Trekkers in the 14 to 17 years-old category will be given the opportunity to give back through environmental service projects. For example, participating in Coastal Clean-up Day at Bodega Dunes and helping to restore California’s ecosystem at Trinidad State Beach through the California Department of Parks and Recreation (site-specific participation waivers are required for these two trips).
