Aspen Greenbelt and Covell Path Paving Update 10/17/24

Post Date:October 17, 2024 10:45 am

The Aspen Greenbelt and Covell Blvd path paving job has mobilized. Please see this tentative schedule, which is weather dependent. Portions of the greenbelt are closed as they are being paved, some path entrances are closed as concrete upgrades are installed, and path users will need to detour to Denali Dr, Olympic Dr or to the Evergreen Greenbelt (parallel to El Capitan St).

Phase 1 and 2 - Aspen Greenbelt Path below Bryce Lane and Saratoga Lane

Mid-October paving; concrete ramp construction at path entrances through approximately Oct. 23. After paving is complete, Phases 1 and 2 of the path will be open for travel, however all path entrances may not be open due to concrete work and some localized construction work will still be in progress.

Phase 3 and 4 - Aspen Greenbelt Path including Bryce Lane/Saratoga Lane intersections and above to Glacier Drive crossing Olympic Drive

Mid-October – Mid-November paving with concrete ramp construction at path entrances through approximately Nov. 18. Once again, after paving is complete Phases 3 and 4 of the path will be open for travel, but all path entrances may not be open due to continuing concrete work.

Phase 5 – Covell Blvd multi-use path from Shasta Drive to Denali Drive

Mid-November to end November paving with concrete ramp construction at path entrances through in early December.

Phase 6 – Covell Blvd multi-use path from Denali Drive to just after UC Davis Medical Group business office at 2660 West Covell

Early December to mid-December paving with concrete ramp construction at path entrances through approximately Dec. 18.
