8/19/24 G Street Update

There are three updates/items today. 

  1. 9/4/24 Zoom meeting about the structure of the business agreements for use of space and furnishing guidelines. This meeting will be held by Zoom on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 from 4-5 p.m. Learning from the last meeting, attendees will be able to see each other, attendees will be able to chat with each other and the audio function will be available. The meeting will start with an overview, then a presentation by Katie Yancey, followed by a Q and A. If you are a business in downtown Davis or on G Street, please email GStreetActivation@cityofdavis.org for the meeting details.   

    Businesses can continue to provide their input on the use and activation of this space before, during or after this meeting by contacting staff at: GStreetActivation@cityofdavis.org or KYancey@cityofdavis.org.  

  2. NEW Outdoor Dining Interest Form for Businesses! The City has created a Pre-Application Interest Form for businesses that are interested in expanded service. This form is the first step in the process that allows the City to track each business’ interest and begin the process for outdoor dining as soon as it’s ready. Once completed, please email it to: outdoordining@cityofdavis.org.

  3. Updated date to remove items/furnishings on G Street. Businesses who currently have outdoor furnishings or items on the street now have more time to move their items! Please have all items moved by September 6 (instead of the original deadline of August 23). Bollards at the Second Street end of G Street will be unlocked Monday-Thursday from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. from 8/20 – 9/6 (excluding Labor Day). Please ensure all vans or vehicles used to move the furniture between the bollards are out by 2 p.m.
