City of Davis Recreation Announces Programming Cancellation Update

Post Date:April 02, 2020 1:05 pm
The City of Davis announced today that based upon the extension of the Yolo County health order for residents to continue sheltering in place through May 1, the Parks & Community Services Department has canceled all remaining spring programming, events and facility reservations through May 1, 2020.
Prior to the countywide health order, recreational programs and events had been canceled through April 7 in addition to the Davis Senior Center closure. All spring classes and gymnastics parties located at the Gymnastics Center on Second Street are canceled until the summer sessions begin in June. Refunds will be processed in the next few weeks for all impacted programming as City staff contacts all the affected households.
The City and department staff will continue to assess future programming beyond May 1 in accordance with recommendations from the Yolo County Public Health Officer and will provide updates as they become available.
If you need to cancel any registration or reservation occurring from May 1 or later, please email: and provide the relevant information, such as participant name, program name and date/reservation date and location. Registration will respond and process your request as expeditiously as possible.
The City continues to ask residents to shelter in place by limiting outdoor activities to securing essential needs, outdoor exercise in your local area (while practicing six feet of social distancing), or travel for essential work. Your cooperation is appreciated.
