Street Smarts... a program that helps educate our community about traffic safety and responsibility.

Street Smarts is a traffic calming program from the City of Davis Public Works Department.  It is designed to make our streets safer, to reduce the number of traffic-related accidents, injuries and deaths.

Street Smarts addresses traffic problems at their source:  in the minds of drivers, pedestrians and cyclists.  Its intent is to raise public awareness about our attitudes and actions on the streets.  It is to remind us that laws are laws.  It offers new ways of thinking about the role each of us can play as part of a Street Smarts solution.

City of Davis Bike Rodeo

This free event for kids ages 5-12 will be held Saturday, May 10 from 9 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of 600 A St. and will include helmet fittings, a skills course, bicycle safety trivia, prizes and more. Click here to download the flier.
