Organize your business to work in concert with the Davis Police Department to suppress crimes against the business and prevent crimes from occurring in commercial areas.

- Basic crime prevention. Covers good business practices and how to deal with crime problems. Teach businesses to recognize and report suspicious activity and how and when to call the police.
- Robbery/ store employees as witnesses. How businesses decrease their risk of robbery, how employees should react, and how the police department will respond.
- Shoplifting prevention. Information on how shoplifters operate, what tools they use, what employees should watch for, and what employees should do if they see someone shoplifting. Also discussed will be citizen arrest procedures.
- Employee safety/workplace violence. How employees can protect themselves from becoming victims of crime while at work including protecting personal property, and walking to and from you vehicle. Also discussed will be opening and closing procedures, counting money, making bank deposits and dealing with disgruntled or dangerous people.
