Adult Softball Leagues

Softball League Information

The City of Davis 2008 Fall Softball season tentatively begins Tuesday September 2, 2008.  All teams play in the evenings.  Please see the Fall 2008 Recreation Schedule for information on levels of competition and nights of play.  The fees for the 7 game season are as follows:  Men's leagues - $386, Women's and Coed leagues - $346.  All teams must also register with the Amateur Softball Association (ASA) at a fee of $20 per team.

Registration:  Priority Registration (for teams that participated in the 2008 Ssummer League) - Monday & Tuesday, August 4 & 5, 2008;  Regular Registration (for all other teams) - Thursday August 7 through Friday August 15, 2008.  Regular registration is first-come, first-serve.  A $25 late registration fee will be charged to all teams that register after Friday August 15, 2008.

General Softball League Rules

Teams are scheduled by the numbers before their name. Visiting team is the team listed in the left hand column. No new inning will begin 55 minutes past the start of the game. The only exception to this is in the event of a tie, in which case the local tie-breaker will be used until the game is decided.

There will be no consumption of alcoholic beverages of smoking by any player during their game.

All rained out or otherwise cancelled games will be made up after the last regularly scheduled game. They will be made up on the regular league night in the order in which the games were missed and at the prescheduled times unless you are notified otherwise by the League Coordinator.
