The City of Davis is updating its Parks and Facilities Master Plan. The plan looks at the parks, recreation, and facilities wants and needs of the community and results in a recommended list of future modifications or additions. The City's consultant has conducted numerous surveys of residents and specific user groups to collect input for the process. The City's consultant will be presenting the results of the surveys and accepting more input with a focus on neighborhood park users on Tuesday May 20, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at the Veteran's Memorial Center.
Information collected so far covered many topics including asking residents and user groups what they like to do with their leisure time and where the city should focus any future parks or facilities planning activities. All of the input will be forwarded on to the Recreation & Parks Commission for a future public workshop resulting in a blue print for meeting the existing and future parks, facilities and recreation needs of residents. For more information on the update visit: http://www.cityofdavis.org/pcs/masterplan/ or contact Parks & General Services Anne Brunette, Property Management Coordinator at 757-5689.
