Child Care Subsidy Program

The Child Care Subsidy Program provides subsidies to assist low-income families pay for child care in the licensed or legally exempt child care provider or child care center of their choice. All child care providers must meet certain standards to be funded by the subsidy program.

To qualify parents must be working, attending school or seeking employment and live, work, attend school or use care in Yolo County. Families may also be eligible if they are homeless or mentally or physically incapacitated. Children ages birth to 12 years may receive a child care subsidy. Child Care costs are based on a family's income and need for care.

Admission into the program is based on family income and individual program priorities. To apply, complete a YCEL application.
