CARES Program
The CARES (Comprehensive Approaches to Raising Educational Standards) program is a program that rewards early care and education professionals for the training they have acquired and the continuation of Early Childhood Education coursework. For more information ask for the CARES Specialist.
Steps in the CARES Application Process
Step 1: Complete and submit your CARES Application by January 16, 2009.
CARES Advisors: CARES Advisor applications are for those individuals have a current Master Teacher level permit or higher OR a Bachelors degree or higher in ECE/CD or related field. This track is for individuals who have acquired their educational goals and want to provide mentoring, advising, professional development to CARES participants. Potential CARES Advisors need to complete the general CARES application and the Advisor application. Applications due by July 31, 2008.
Step 2:The CARES Specialist will mail you a letter confirming that we have received your application. The letter will inform you of additional forms/requirements that you will need to complete and will assign you a CARES Advisor (for participants in Tracks 2-4).

Step 3: Complete all of your CARES Requirements.
Step 4: Turn in all supporting documentation to the CARES Specialist by April 10, 2009.
