New Harmony

New Harmony is being developed as a 69 unit apartment style community of two three story buildings, with one elevator each, that is projected to be available for occupancy early in 2013. New Harmony will consist of:

  • 9 one bedroom flats - 667 square feet
  • 33 two bedroom flats - 849 square feet
  • 27 3 bedroom flats - 1,331 square feet

New Harmony will be an equal opportunity affordable housing project offering a range of affordability levels, from 30% AMI to 60% AMI. The project will include a community room, children’s play area, community garden and basketball court. Barbeque areas and benches will also be provided as well as a covered patio situated adjacent to the community building. The project incorporates many green building features to help maximize efficiency, conservation, durability, and the comfort and health of occupants.

New Harmony has been designed to accommodate residents and visitors with disabilities. All units will be adaptable for people with disabilities, with 20% of the units fully accessible, including features such as slide-out shelving and grab bars. All units will have a private patio and ample living space with open floor plans.

The one and two bedroom units will have one bathroom each, and the three bedroom units will have 2 full bathrooms. All units will include washer/dryer hookups; residents will also have access to the laundry room in the community building with seven washers and dryers. The community building will also include offices for property management and the resident services coordinator, a large meeting/all purpose room with adjacent kitchen area, and a financial education office. New Harmony is located next to a city bike path and well-served bus stop.
