Davis Fire Corps
What is Davis Fire Corps?
The City of Davis Fire Department is looking for citizens of Davis interested in offering their time and talent to the community by becoming non-emergency individuals for the Davis Fire Corps program. The Fire Corps program is an initiative of the White House and the Department of Homeland Security with the idea of beginning a program where the citizens may focus their time to be of benefit to their local Fire Department and the community around them.
How can I support the Davis Fire Department?
The Davis Fire Department is looking for all individuals that feel that they could contribute to their community. As a non-emergency individual you will be working with other dedicated individuals. The program offers community involvement and pride in duties well accomplished. Being an advocate in Fire Corps offers new and exciting opportunities as well as a great deal of personal satisfaction.
The list of non-emergency activities available is endless and only assigned based on abilities and personal time commitment. You will become aware of the duties and achievements of other members of the Davis Fire Department in their daily activities. Duties may include the maintenance of the library, working with the fire prevention office, maintaining and inventorying equipment, photography skills, and public speaking abilities and you will help to increase the effectiveness of the career individuals. This program will enable the citizen to strengthen the existing programs of fire safety and fire prevention.
